While we have been rather busy with Unrailed 2 recently, we still had a big backlog of changes for the console versions of Unrailed 1. We finally got through all console submissions and here are the changelogs:
Nintendo Switch (EU + US)
New: Added Jeff as a playable character.
New: Allow blocking of users by us and in-game.
New: Allow players to hide Session ID in the lobby.
New: Added a respawn button for the bot in single-player, either mappable to an input or accessible via the escape menu.
New: Allow hosts to prevent joining during normal gameplay (Always | Only in Shop, Lobby | Only in Lobby).
New: Atmosphere volume adjustment.
New: Themed main menu can now be disabled.
Fix: Crash during replay and replay performance improvements.
Fix: Crash when buying the last engine.
Nintendo Switch (JP)
New: Added Jeff as a playable character.
New: Allow fast skipping in replays.
New: Allow players to hide Session ID in the lobby.
New: Allow hosts to prevent joining during normal gameplay (Always | Only in Shop, Lobby | Only in Lobby).
New: Added a respawn button for the bot in single-player, either mappable to an input or accessible via the escape menu.
New: Atmosphere volume adjustment.
New: Themed main menu can now be disabled.
Fix: Achievement “Lost” can now be attained in shops as well.
Fix: Achievement synchronization issues resolved.
Improvement: High ping warning now displayed in the ping bubble.
Improvement: Compass wagon displays the next map in the shop (only if the host version is recent enough).
Improvement: Light wagon flickers when running out of fuel.
Improvement: Added an additional dead-zone slider for controllers.
Improvement: Respawned tools are now placed directly underneath the train if possible.
Improvement: Reworked timings for the emoji menu; it should now be easier to select emojis using directional inputs (e.g., thumbstick).
Improvement: Overall performance improved by updating the runtime.
Fix: Reworked tool respawning code to prevent most, if not all, cases of missing tools. If the game cannot directly respawn a missing tool, it will try again.
Fix: Game freezes when trying to place tracks around the train station in a spiral.
Fix: Crash when not having a valid online state.
Fix: Workaround implemented for cases where tracks on bridges can’t be placed.
Fix: Tool respawning bugs (e.g., wrong bucket after underwater levels, sometimes missing tools after the shop).
Fix: Kicks are no longer valid after loading save games.
Fix: Disconnection or crash when triggering the fireworks achievement.
Fix: In-game error when reading save games.
Fix: Weekly challenge now consistent across all regions.
Fix: Kicking as host now works across all platforms.
Fix: Crashes after loading a save game under certain circumstances.
